I have had to make a difficult decision to step down as a TAC Angel. I'm starting school again to get my bachelor's degree, and I just won't have time, and since the divorce, I really can't spare the expense of running the business. To help offset the college costs, I'm selling a bunch of my stuff...

The Best Baby Gift...

They do take some time to create, but I have found that a ready made scrapbook is the most appreciated baby gift.
Awhile back, Paula Kay Bourland had a project for us that included a clipboard and 8" x 8" pages, one for each month of the year. I later recreated the project but without the clipboard and with an 8" x 8" album as a gift for a friend who was expecting...
Each page has a seasonal theme, and room to insert a 4" x 6" photo. Therefore, all the parents have to do is choose a snapshot taken in that month, tape it in, and when the year is up, they have a book of "Baby's first year"... month by month. Here are some examples of the pages:

As I said, they do take some time to make, but as much as my friends have enjoyed them, they are definitely worth it!
I hope this inspires you to make some very unique and creative gifts. Remember, that you can adapt this idea for weddings, pregnancies, school years, etc.

Love is in the Air!

And here are a few more Valentines ideas!

The always popular, Frappuccino bottles! If you love those drinks as much as I do, then you will never run out of quick and easy last minute gifts! I love these bottles for the ease and versatility. Each one has it's own personality and they can be filled with nuts, trailmix, goobers, or any other small candy that your loved one has a "sweet tooth" for...

Have some bland boxes? Give them some bling by covering them with designer papers and adding cute and crafty embellishments.
These really add an extra special personal touch to your loved one's gift...

And last, but not at all least, are Altered Items! Picture frames, calendars, clipboards, suit cases, planners, bulletin boards, rolodex, flower pots, the list goes on and on!
One of my favorite things to do is look for the clearance items at Wal-Mart or Target (the dollar spot is great!) that may be boring or even scratched, take them home and give them new life. Before you have that garage sale, look around at your items, and think of how you could "make it better"... or when your neighbors have garage sales, take those .10 cent frames and turn them into a "million bucks"!

Thanks for visiting, I hope it made you smile!

Happy Creating,
Cori

Wow, where did January go? It seems that the older I get, the faster time goes by... and I don't think I like it. I spent all weekend in my craft room, and as a result, I have cute things to share with you, so look for several blogs over the next week! I'm gearing up for Valentines day, so to start off, I thought I would share these valentines pop-tops...
I love any project that involves recycling! I know that these guys are showing up everywhere, but I first learned of them from Liz Aguilar at a team meeting... Thanks, Liz! Just use the Pampered Chef ©, can opener on the bottom of the tin to get to the product that came in the can. (My son loves the peaches and mixed fruit, so he keeps me stocked on empty tins!) I wash all my tins in hot soapy water and let them dry completely. After decorating, fill the tin with wrapped candy or place other food inside a poly bag. Once filled, I use a non-toxic adhesive to glue the bottom back on. For these, I used TAC's 3D Crystal Effects, and it worked like a charm. (Make sure you give them plenty of drying time)

Thank you for visiting, and Happy Creating!

Happy Thursday!

I LOVE to give gifts! It is my first "love language"... it's how I express affection to my friends and family.
Lately I've gotten on a mini-scrapbook kick, and I've found that they make excellent gifts! Here is the latest in my mini-scrapbook projects: the 5" x 7" Accordion Tin
H106 $6.95

For my finished tin, I used Rustic Chic Wing It! papers and the Happy Trails Stamp set. The tin comes with two protective cardboard pieces and I used them as the front and back of the accordion. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it!
